Refund & Cancellation Policy

How refunds and cancellations work for tickets bought through RaveTickets. The organizer is the seller and decides the refund terms for their event, within the law.

No 14-day withdrawal right for dated events

Under EU consumer law (the Consumer Rights Directive, as implemented in Dutch law), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to tickets for leisure events tied to a specific date or period, such as concerts, festivals and club nights. This is why a correctly issued ticket is generally not refundable simply because you changed your mind. You are told this before you pay.

The organizer sets the refund policy

Beyond the rule above, each organizer may offer its own refund terms, for example for name changes or returns before a deadline. Any such terms are shown by the organizer and apply to your purchase. Requests to refund or change a ticket go to the organizer.

If an event is cancelled or postponed

  • If the organizer cancels the event, you are normally entitled to a refund of the ticket price from the organizer, in line with applicable law. The refund is either sent automatically to your original payment method, or arranged by the organizer, who will contact you.
  • If the event is postponed or moved, your ticket usually stays valid for the new date; the organizer will explain your options. If the organizer offers a refund, the email about the new date has a link to ask for it before the date stated there.
  • RaveTickets is the platform and payment facilitator, not the organizer or a guarantor. We help process eligible refunds through Stripe where funds are available, but we cannot guarantee a refund if the organizer is unable to provide one, for example in the case of organizer insolvency.

If your tickets cannot be issued

If you pay but your tickets cannot be issued, for example because the last tickets were sold while you were paying or a promo code reached its limit, the order is refunded in full automatically, including any booking fee, and no tickets are issued.

How refunds are paid

Approved refunds are made through Stripe to your original payment method. The time to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card provider.

Booking fees

Where a booking fee or a payment method fee is charged on top of the ticket price, a refund made by the organizer through RaveTickets returns the full amount you paid, including those fees. There is one exception: if the organizer cancels or moves the event, the organizer decides whether those fees are refunded together with the ticket price, unless the law requires that they are; the email about the cancellation or the new date says which applies. If your tickets could not be issued, you always get the full amount back.

Mistaken or duplicate purchases, and chargebacks

If you bought the wrong ticket or paid twice, contact the organizer or email us at info@ravedragons.com as soon as possible. Please contact us before starting a card chargeback, so we can try to resolve it first. For buyer obligations generally, see the Ticket Buyer Terms.
